20,000 passionate book lovers will give away 1,000,000 books on the
inaugural World Book Night!

And the Art House are a part of it. On Saturday 5 March 2011 WBN in
partnership with BBC Two will be giving away one million free books
through 20,000 passionate readers to other members of the public
across the UK and Ireland.

The Art House are giving you an opportunity to come and collect a free
book from the selection of books that we will have on offer. Titles
such as Dissolution by CJ Sansom, Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda
Ngozi Adichie, Beloved by Toni Morrison, and more. We have 30 copies
of each book at least to give away and we want to get you guys
passionate about reading.

There’s no catch, no fee and we just want you all to have the best
time possible, so pop down to the Art house between 15.00 to 17.00 to
collect your free book and grab some yummies from the lovely Art House
cafe!

Booking details: No need to book – just drop in!
Cost: Free event (but donation to the Art House always welcome)

Food & refreshments: Lovely organic lunches, fair trade coffee & tea,
a wide selection of herbal teas, organic juices and soft drinks,
organic wines, ciders & beers are available in the cafe with
home-baked goodies and light snacks, all reasonably priced and very
yummy.

The Art House is a not-for-profit café, gallery and arts venue in the centre of Southampton. We are a place you can meet new people, meet up with friends or just come in by yourself. Our licensed café offers delicious organic lunches, Fairtrade tea and homemade cake. We also have a busy programme of events, workshops, and art exhibitions, a clothing and crafts boutique and lots more. Most of our crew are volunteers and you might even want to apply to join them.
