Another fabulous lineup for Three Monkeys tonight..
And a great turnout from an appreciative audience. Thanks again to Steve Lowis for organising it. From left to right we had:
Chris performed at the Three Monkeys last year and went down a storm as always. He writes very delicate and intricate songs and has a voice like an old blues singer (always good!). He is true to the singer/songwriter genre and it’s easy to get lost in his deep lyrics sung straight from the heart. A legend in my eyes…honestly!
Davey Jones is a Multi Instrumentalist from a little village near Southampton, who plays everything from Bass (Upright and Electric), Acoustic/E;ectric Guitar, Resonator, Lapsteel, Didgeridoo and Percussion to name but a few. He can be seen gigging a lot around the South of the UK at present, Either Stomping, Singing, Sliding and Strumming away doing a Solo gig, or with other musicians playing in a band (The Kodiak Bears) doing all his own songs. A full on foot stomping, toe tapping, sliding and shaking motherfu**er : ) He’ll bring the (Art) House down!
Tim Somerfield : Afro Ninja
Tim has played countless venues across the South of England, such as My Kyps, Komedia, The Railway Inn and La Havana Club. Supporting such acts as Loonaloop, Tom Hingley, Dusty Cuts, Dave McPherson and creating a worthy and widespread fan base.
Tim Somerfield aims to grab the listener by the ears, delve into their minds and satisfy their musical hunger to the very core by providing interweaving melodies between vocals and guitar, cross rhythms and powerful, memorable lyrics that will have the listener singing long after they think they’ve forgotten the songs. The first quarter of the year has been promising, racking up more gigs than ever before, including some new venues and the promise of plenty more to come and the latter stages of Bournemouth Unplugged 2011 to look forward to, and a brand new album coming soon.
