Three Monkeys on Friday – Mike Vaughan sang a cover of ‘Oh my Sweet Carolina’ which just happened to be Steve Lowis‘ favourite song. This resulted in a gorgeous impromptu duet.
Another magical Art House moment!

The marvelous Anthony Fairweather returned last night to support Ricky Tart.Anthony was one of the first ever performers at The Art House, and we were the site of one of his first ever performances – so he truly is one of the family here.
As always, he had us rolling in the aisles!
We were treated to the first viewing, a ‘scratch’ version of Ricky Tart‘s latest creation ‘I read the news’.
Moving us from the surreal to the sublime, and back again via the utterly silly, even the balmy temperature in the gallery couldn’t dampen our spirits.
This boy will go far, we reckon.
Speaking of hot.
The Flamenco and Tapas night transported us to sweltering Seville in this sell-out supper club.
We were treated to music by Jero Ferec, dance from La Nati and Flamenco singing from Dimitri de la Rosa.
According to one of our guests,
“The music and the atmosphere reminded me of being in a small Peña Flamenca in Andalusia.”
Finally, and it seems so long ago now, the night above the SS Shieldhall with the Rainbow Girls and Marty O’Reilly and the Old Soul Orchestra was one for the Art House book of Awesome.
We danced, we drank, we blew bubbles. It was bloomin’ awesome.
We have to make special mention of Jane Goldsack, who supported the touring band on the Shieldhall as her alter-ego LC the Lonesome Cowgirl.
It’s been a pleasure seeing Jane go from nervously singing her own material at Moving Voices to supporting international acts.
She rocks our world, she does, as so many of you do who stand up bravely, knees a-knocking, to share your creations with the world. We salute you all.
