Covid-19 and reopening update

#Covid update:

The Art House is mainly a performance and arts venue and we are awaiting restrictions being lifted on indoor performance events and remaining closed. We are risk assessing and speaking to our community groups about when and how we restart these.

Consulting with our regulars, volunteers and groups, feedback is that folks do not feel safe coming out to public indoor spaces yet, and we agree that it is too soon to know how reopening nationally will impact the spread of Covid-19. For us, the safety, wellbeing and lives of our people are the most important consideration, tough as it is to be closed to the public.

In the meantime, we continue to support people to #stayhome as much as possible with our food to go deliveries, paid-forward meals for folks on low income and by-donation online events to keep people entertained and connected.

From 18 July you will be able to do curbside collection of our delicious meals to go, starting with a Saturday service and expanding as demand and safety allows.

Summer is traditionally a quieter time for us, so we want to take the next period of time to repurpose and remodel The Art House whilst the building is closed to the public.

We’ve been cleaning, clearing and rearranging and have plans to set up live music streams from our space as soon as this is safe to do.

Our community is going to need our space in the months and years ahead, especially given the ongoing pandemic and the economic and social impact it is having on everyone.
