The Art House is following the guidance from the WHO on operating food service, events and a safe workplace and having taken feedback from our customers and supporters to make a collective decision to maintain our safety measures until the advice changes.
Here are some photos of our ground floor #Bunker178 multi purpose performance and social space set up for a socially distanced gig. We also host regular community cafe events in this space where you can just drop in informally and hang out with a cuppa.
As you can see, it is very spaced out with individual tables for each ‘bubble’ including tables for 1,2,3 & 4. It is a lovely setup, very relaxed and comfy!
The high ceiling and extraction system makes for good ventilation and all tables and high touch areas are kept sanitised. We open doors front and back all the time the performance isn’t going on which allows an excellent airflow through the space. We take your order and payment at the table to minimise contact and all crew wear masks, we also ask audience members to wear masks when not at their tables and invite mask wearing as much as possible even when seated.
Show times are limited to 2 hours with a break to allow us to open doors and allow fresh air through. We’ll be doing this until scientists say it is safe to stop! It is wonderful to be able to have live performers back in the House, but we’re taking every precaution to make sure there is minimal risk. We also are live streaming events so that those who don’t wish to attend in person can still join in.
The Art House is taking the following measures to reduce the risk of Covid-19 spread:
* Tables/seats are socially distanced and numbers inside are limited
* Table service – please stay at your table or seat to order or pay
* Sanitisers are in place at the entrance & at the loo door
* Enhanced regular cleaning of loos & high touch areas is in place
* Limiting time for all events – we ask that participants do leave at closing time to reduce contact time and enable our staff to clean up safely.
* We’ve also fitted ventilation in the space and created more room for social distancing
Any bookings are fully refundable if you test positive for Covid, have symptoms or if you have been asked to self isolate.
We ask that you:
Not come to any event if you have any symptoms of Covid-19, or you or somebody you live with are waiting on test results, if you have been asked to self-isolate by the NHS track & trace system or if you have had a positive PCR or lateral flow test in the past 10 days.
The Art House is a mask-positive space, however you are not required to wear a mask whilst seated at your table, although you can if you wish to. We take Covid seriously and positively encourage our community to take all measures they are able to to reduce the spread of this disease and keep each other safe. Please wear a face covering at all times when not at your table.
We encourage all of our visitors to take a lateral flow test before coming to an event (we do not ask for proof of this) as an additional way of keeping all of us safer. You can order free lateral flow tests here.
Please respect others choice to mask and socially distance, which may differ from current guidance/law and from your own preference and always seek clear, enthusiastic consent for any physical contact or closeness.
