Thank you SO much for your kind support of The Art House!
All of the money we make goes right back into running this venue, and we are good at making any amount go a long, long way – so you can be sure we’ll use it wisely.
We keep in touch with our regular patrons with behind-the-scenes news and secret videos nobody else gets to see (you can see a few of them below) so you’ll hear from us soon (you can always opt out of these communications if you’d rather not get them, and just get our regular mailouts, it’s no problem!).
Oodles of love from all of us,

Bik with his Dad on the allotment of glory – 40 years organic veg growing (with lovely flowers as companion plants!)
Update from Bik 4/7/2015
So, the almost-halfway results are in and my Dad’s scan shows the tumour on his pancreas has stopped growing and the markers in his blood have dropped considerably, which is awesome.
If there’s a silver lining to all this, it’s that it’s happening in the summer, which means he can spend plenty of time on his allotment (see below!) PLUS it appears Vitamin D has a big influence on how well chemo drugs work. I’m off again to spend a day at QA tomorrow with him (almost 6 hours a session!)
The summer has a downside however – our increasingly empty cafe. It’s always a nail-biting time, cushioned by a funded project, normally. This week, we just signed off last years project aimed at helping long-term unemployed people move back toward work, for which we received roughly Ā£14,000. This is our summer shortfall, in a nutshell.
But this year, no funding. Instead, it’s ‘chemo fun time’ as we like to call it. Much as we pride ourselves on our self-sufficiency at The Art House, we have decided to call on all our supporters and friends to help us out with a monthly ongoing donation, as it’s just not possible to look after my Dad *and* run a project as well as the usual Art House programme. So far just over 100 have signed up, which is really amazing and you’ve no idea what it means to see those fivers (and more) trickling in.
Bik

Have visited the Art House a couple of times with my family and was charmed by its beauty and friendliness, I only wish we were more local (we’re 100 miles away!). I do hope you receive enough donations to keep such a fantastic place going and best wishes to Bik’s dad through his difficult time.

Love to you both – what you do for the community is invaluable … xxx
You are an inspiration. There should be more places like The Art House and like-minded people. Sorry to hear about break-ins, so sad that people resort to such destructive behaviours. I’ve shared on my FB page, so hope you get more donations. Xx
Thanks so much Ann!
