Southampton Story Club meetup

Story Club header

Southampton Story Club meets on the first Thursday of every month from 8 – 10pm to tell each other stories.

Anyone can join in and they have both professional and amateur storytellers, as well as a few not-yet-tellers.  There are sometimes themes, and even some workshops and other special events – please join their Facebook group for updates.

The stories told can range from well-known fairy-tales to anecdotes and original stories. There may also be poetry and music and some chat. Club members are just as varied and each time they meet is different from the last.

The evening is very informal, so if you are curious just pop along, say ‘hi’ and they promise not to make you stand up and recite the Mabinogion, unless you can do it in fifteen minutes, that is.  No booking required, just come along.

Other info:-

This event is suitable for adults and older children – children must be supervised at all times.  The story club usually meets on the first floor, which is accessible via a wide staircase with a bannister.
