The Art House is a performance venue and social centre in the heart of Southampton, offering live music, performance poetry, storytelling and comedy as well as workshops and classes, drop-in community cafe events, a regular community pantry and a meeting space for groups.
Formed as a Community Interest Company in 2008, the venue has been in it’s present location on Above Bar Street, Southampton, since March 2009.
Offering a flexible ground floor performance space in the form of ‘Bunker178’, first floor meeting spaces which are hireable for groups and events, offsite gigs at partner venues, The Art House acts as a hub for culture, community and activism in the heart of the city.
