Community cafe and pantry are so busy today! There was still time for volunteer Sarah (who is a professional contortionist, don’t try this at home kids) to do some cat balancing with Greebo.
A couple of pantry users in first thing for soup, two regulars who know this is a good place to come for a friendly chat, hot drink and a hot meal. There was orange juice this week too, which was much appreciated!
Another regular who was coming in here a few months ago in dire straits having lost their housing, today was looking far more chipper and enjoying a little chillout and coffee of the sofa. They are a musician so feel very at home here, it was great to see them looking so much more relaxed.
Cafe and event regulars Stretch and Nel in too, their support has been so constant through the pandemic and before that – always good to see them enjoying the space they’ve helped to keep going!
Speaking of essential humans, the volunteer crew today is Gill, Simone and David in the pantry and Ziggy upstairs giving the kitchen a good clean (even the windows got scrubbed).
