Local guitarists Colin MacPhail, Jonathan Vernam and Mark T Newman are in the house at the end of May raising funds for our community pantry!

Three local acoustic fingerstyle acts on our stage, raising funds for our community pantry, feeding the community and preventing food waste.
About the acts:
Colin MacPhail is an acoustic fingerstyle guitarist with an eclectic repertoire that has ingredients from the modern fingerstyle of Clive Carroll, Will McNicol and Gordon Giltrap to well-known and loved pieces from Erik Satie, Pat Metheny and Scott Joplin. Additional flavourings come from the acoustic works of Eric Johnson, Rory Gallagher, Dominic Miller and Joe Satriani.
Colin’s EP, which was produced by Will McNicol, can found on Soundcloud here
Colin’s last gig at the Art House was supporting Will McNicol along with Jonny Vernham.
Mark T Newman is a singer songwriter acoustic duo inspired by the Laurel Canyon troubadours of the seventies. Mark and Tina blend genres from English folk and blues to west coast. You can find their first EP on Spotify and YouTube under Mark
Jonathan Vernam started playing the guitar after receiving guitar lessons as a gift from his grandmother on his 8th birthday. Over the next 30 years, Jonny rarely put his guitar down. A powerful and melancholic style that hits the heart hard with a feeling of frisson. Jonny has built a reputation for his unique style and has been quoted as “a guitarist to look out for” by the BBC.
