Rachael Sage, a captivating artist from New York City, returns to The Art House to wrap you up in her theatrical fusion of folk, pop, and rock. With her bewitching voice, magnetic stage presence, and cheeky humor, she has been named one of the Top 100 Independent Artists of the Past 15 Years by Performing Songwriter Magazine and was a John Lennon Songwriting Contest grand prize winner.
The New York Times likens her to “alternately channelling her inner Fanny Brice and Jewish Norah Jones.”
She has supported many household names on tour, including The Brand New Heavies, Imelda May, Suzanne Vega, Ani DiFranco and Howard Jones.
A classically trained pianist and ballet dancer, as well as visual artist, Rachael founded MPress Records in 1996 after attending Stanford University. She has released numerous unforgettable albums, with her songs featured in many TV shows including “Dance Moms,” “Dawson’s Creek,” “MTV’s Teen Mom,” “Fame,” “Audrina,” “Bad Girls Club,” “One Tree Hill,” “Smallville,” “The Voice,” “The Hills,” “90210,” “Reckless,” and “VH1’s Best Week Ever.” She is also an accomplished producer and philanthropist, contributing to many charitable causes through concerts and donations.
Rachael publicly identified as bisexual in the mid-1990s, and her songs depict her experiences loving both men and women. She has won multiple OutMusic Awards, who acknowledge her for her contributions to the LGBTQ music scene. In 2016 she and cellist Dave Eggar held a benefit concert for victims of the Orlando nightclub shooting.
Her 14th studio album, Character (2020), is an “inspirational tribute to survivorship” written during her recovery from endometrial cancer. The album explores themes of compassion, gratitude, authenticity, optimism, mindfulness, forgiveness, vulnerability, and resilience.

Cinematic, poetic and original story songs on piano, Million Pebble Beach is the nom de guerre of Portsmouth’s singer-songwriter and pianist, Claire Baker. Her songs are whimsical, vividly imagined dream-like stories and journeys and her performances are lively, joyful and engaging. Claire’s voice and musical style has been likened to Aldous Harding, Kate Bush, Björk, Regina Spektor, John Grant and Cate Le Bon.
